Celebrities with the highest record for divorces
Marriage is not easy for most. The whole problem begins with who you want to legally commit your life to. Then you really need to overcome all problems together. When life is what it is, not uncommon to imagine that sometimes we just split up. Certain people just cannot stay married to absolutely anyone. You may wonder if it is they, and not everybody. We are not to judge; we are here to observe. So, now let’s look at some celebs who have been divorced more often than most of us can count it.
Larry King – seven divorces
Almost achieving the highest position on this list with a colossal seven divorces, he was well-known for his passion for journalism and beautiful women. In the history of Larry King’s marriages, it is worth noting that it is more similar to a resume in which marriages are smoothly passed on to each other. Imagine how much Larry spends on alimony!
Billy Bob Thornton – five divorces
The actor was a guy before Brangelina, and he will always be like this. The divorce with Jolie was the fifth time Billy was going to his lawyer. After Angelina, the actor never married again. And that makes sense since where do you must go when you already been there – at the ‘top’?
Elizabeth Taylor and her eight divorces
The woman with the highest divorce rate tonight is Elizabeth Taylor. She has been divorced as many as 8 times in her life, which makes one question – why get married at all? Taylor’s most famous husband was Richard Burton. She met him on the set of Cleopatra, where she confirmed her status as Hollywood’s queen. The two were married twice, having been divorced for less than one year. Oddly enough, their second wedding lasted no longer than a year as well. Everybody deserves a second, perhaps even a third opportunity; but not everybody uses it right.
Pamela Anderson – 4 times
Having been remarried 4 times, her best-known marriages were with Tommy Lee & Kid Rock. Pamela divorced Tommy Lee in 1998 when people had not yet realized that Motley Crue was not really that good; she didn’t remarry until 2006 to Kid Rock. The couple divorced in 2007. Perhaps it was simply because Pamela first heard the “All Summer Long” and knew it was time to leave this wreck of a man. Anderson also had two much more short-term marriages. But since both of them weren’t as exciting as they were with the rock stars, nothing good came out of them.
Tony Curtis – six divorces
Dad of Jamie Lee Curtis was married and then divorced as many as 6 times. The longest of his marriage was with Leslie Allen, who was already the third wife of Tony. After fourteen years of being married, he dabbled a bit in the relationship and never came close to being a monogamous male. Tony married a woman who was younger than himself by 42 years. It is quite a remarkable feat for every older man to accomplish.
James Cameron with his 5 times
The same way as Jack was unable to hold on to the huge floating door on Titanic, so James Cameron cannot keep on to any of the five ex-wives he has had. It seems that his love stories have a common pattern-” a director falls in love with an actress, gets married to her, goes on to a new project, sees a new girl, and marries her. His ex-wives include Linda Hamilton who you know from “Terminator.” We do not say who filmed it, but my hunch is that you can already guess.
Jerry Lee Lewis and his six divorces
There must be a special irony that would place the genius behind the song “Great Balls of Fire” on the list of persons with the highest number of divorces. Does this mean the song actually does have a double meaning? In any case, his most scandalous marriage was with Myra Gail Brown. The two have been married for a pretty long time, but Myra was only thirteen years old by the time they married. Also, the point is, Gail Brown was his cousin. You can only imagine the faces of guests at this wedding.
