The Life After Kids Pageant Show

Kids Pageant Show. That word combination sounds a little odd, isn’t it? Have you ever had a chance to be a watcher of this stuff? Or maybe you were on the grand jury panel? Have you ever heard of “Toddlers and Tiaras” television series? For those who are not familiar with the topic, we’ll try to simplify it for you. A child beauty pageant is a contest, where only children under 16 are allowed. Someone might supposedly think what’s wrong with that? Just imagine a harmless little toddler being under the lights of the stage, dressed in a bulky dress, face being painted within all the colours of the rainbow, and with a massive elaborate hairdos. The very first thought comes to mind – what’s the purpose of all that? Do parents really think of this idea as something brilliant that will give their children a lot of self-worth? How does the jury feel when they are in charge of giving an assessment to little innocent toddlers? There are so many questions and so few answers. Let’s try to distance ourselves from the moral side of the question and take a look on the kids’ life after. What is their emotional state and how do they live now after being participants in these contests. Here’s the list of the most famous childhood beauty pageant contestants.

1. Alana Thompson as “Honey Boo-Boo”

The first one in our list is a star of an American reality television “Here Comes Honey Boo-Boo” Alana “Honey Boo-Boo” Thompson. This girl was an absolute star from the beginning of the show until the very end of the show in 2014. Video compilations of her went really viral, and as it happens on the Internet due to someone’s popularity the girl become a meme. The girl was absolutely splendid, which can’t be said about her whole weird family. Despite of the falling popularity of kids beauty pageant shows, the fame of Alana Thompson has given birth to a bunch of reality TV show spinoffs about her family. She’s doing okay right now and still being busy with these shows up to this day. The Life After Kids Pageant Show

2. MaKenzie Myers

We’ve already mentioned the show “Toddlers and Tiaras” at the beginning of the article, and the next person in our list is MaKenzie Myers, who were, absolutely, one of the main stars in this children’s beauty pageant show. She has kept a low profile since 2013, when she (or her parents) made a decision to keep the distance from pageant life and made a retirement. She also did everything she could to avoid any social media platforms, that was the price of her childhood popularity. Right at the moment, MaKenzie Myers enjoys her life and actively posting on her Instagram profile, so her fans could see how their former star is doing right now and what she’s up to. She also had a mini-reunion with her girls’ co-stars recently at the New York Fashion Week, and many of her fans are thinking about a future possibility to see MaKenzie in a role of model. We hope to see her soon too. The Life After Kids Pageant Show

3. Eden Wood

Number three in our list is this magnificent blondie. Can you imagine a toddler at six months to perform on a stage? By three years Eden had been cast on a role in a short film “The Angry Box”. When Eden had just turned four, she became a participant in “Toddlers and Tiaras”. Wood was a real star and absolutely phenomenal in this, but later she decided to hang her crown up and moved forward. Her next step was her own network show entitled “Eden’s World”. But the biggest success was yet to come. Later on she won an opportunity to play the role of Darla Hood in Universal Entertainment’s reboot of “The Little Rascals Save The Day!” and moved to Los Angeles for the fame she deserved. Wood came a really long and a thorny path to become the celebrity she is now. A little girl from her Arkansas farm town is doing well. She does some modelling, running her own site and Instagram profile, and she even became a judge on “Toddlers and Tiaras”, the project that has launched her career. The Life After Kids Pageant Show

The last one in our list is Destiny, one of the most scandalous participant of “Toddlers and Tiaras”. Destiny was only 4 years old when she performed on stage dressed up as Sandy from “Grease”, having a lit cigarette alongside with her character. No need to say it was a scandal to have seeing a little toddler smoking on the stage. People and TV-channels were burst into rage, it was a real scandal, but hopefully for little Destiny and her mother, everything soon came back to normal. Since then, this baby has quit any pageants and just enjoying her life as a normal teenager. We hope her her morality hadn’t been shattered and everything will be absolutely okay.
